In 2024, the Nîmes s’illustre festival renews its commitment to illustration through the organization of a fourth edition of its eponymous event, which will take place at the Hôtel Dieu from June 20 to July 27, 2024, with an opening on June 20, 2024.
Nîmes s’illustre is an association that celebrates the many faces of illustration: across genres, eras and styles. Illustration is part of our representations. In the contemporary world, it has taken on an increasingly important role, to the point where it is now everywhere in our daily lives: magazines, posters, objects, textiles… Nîmes s’illustre has been bringing illustration to the heart of an annual summer event since 2021, which takes place mainly in Nîmes, the home town of its founders. Nîmes s’illustre’s successful development has enabled it to carry out a variety of annual projects, including creative residencies, traveling exhibitions and institutional commissions…
