Dancer and choreographer Dimitri Chamblas invites us to witness a round of his new game, fountain, performed by some 30 people at La Placette elementary school, whose doors are exceptionally open on the weekend. The rule: make your body murmur out loud and become fountain together. Each participant absorbs a liquid and releases it, emitting a variety of sounds. The exercise requires facing the sky, in a gesture that connects with the cosmos as much as it revives the childlike reflex of gargling contests. With this living sculpture, as in his previous projects, Dimitri Chamblas invites us to the act of slowing down, and deploys the grace of the body in the folds of its mysteries.

Volunteer participants include students from ésban – École supérieure des beaux-arts de Nîmes, and from the dance department of Nîmes’ Music and Dance Conservatory.
