CŒUR EN FLAMMES

The artist and weaver Delphine Dénéréaz, in close collaboration with the poet, writer and director Sonia Chiambretto, is presenting a monumental textile installation in the public space. The installation runs the length of Avenue Feuchères, connecting the Nîmes-Centre train station to the Arenas. Speech bubbles, encrypted messages and various symbols perched like banners between the plane trees reflect the intimacy, concerns and dreams of the future of young people, as they look to the sky and allow themselves to invent their own language. The project is the fruit of a lengthy creative process involving 8^th grade students from Collège Feuchères, located on the avenue. It was their words, their gestures and their opinions that guided the artists to create with them this gigantic visual poem, which invites us to raise our eyes to the sky.
