Zineb Sedira
Born in 1963, Zineb Sedira is a Franco-Algerian artist who lives and works between London and Paris. She studied graphic design in France, before continuing her training at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and the Royal College of Art in London, among others. Over the course of her career, she has had numerous solo exhibitions, notably at the Jeu de Paume (Paris), the Palais de Tokyo (Paris), the [mac] Musée d’art contemporain de Marseille, and the Blaffer Art Museum (Boston). In 2022, she represented France at the 59th Venice Biennale International Art Exhibition, “The Milk of Dreams”, with her project “Dreams Have No Titles”. As a multimedia artist, her work focuses on the expression of the intimate, the personal and the biographical, in a multicultural context. She confronts conventional Western images with Arab rituals.
