Suzanne Husky
Born in 1975, Suzanne Husky is a French-American artist who lives and works between Bazas in Gironde and San Francisco. She graduated from the École supérieure des beaux-arts de Bordeaux and obtained a certificate in horticultural landscaping from Merritt College (Oakland, California). She has taught landscape history and ethnobotany at the École supérieure d’art et de design d’Orléans and the San Francisco Art Institute. In 2021, Suzanne Husky presented her work at the Villa Medicis Film Festival (Rome), the Timișoara Biennale, Transpalette (Bourges), Espace Voltaire (Paris), and IAC Villeurbanne/Rhône-Alpes. She has also exhibited at the Frac Nouvelle-Aquitaine MÉCA (Bordeaux), the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the 16th Istanbul Biennale, San Francisco International Airport, the De Young Museum, the 5th Bay Area Now triennial at YBCA San Francisco, among others. In 2022, she participated in the 16th Lyon Biennale of Contemporary Art. Over the past 20 years, she has developed a creative approach of mixed media focused on the relationships between humans, plants, and the earth.
