Aïda Bruyère
Born in Dakar in 1995, Aïda Bruyère is a French artist who lives and works in Paris. After graduating from the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2020, she has shown her work in solo exhibitions at the Palais de Tokyo and Galerie PACT, as well as in various collective exhibitions at Consortium (Dijon), 494 (Brussels), DOC! (Paris), La Station Gare des Mines (Paris), La Villette (Paris) and the Saatchi Gallery (London), among others. She was awarded the grand prize at the 64th Salon de Montrouge in 2019, and is a resident in the 1st class of Artagon Pantin (2022-2023). Playing on contemporary consumer codes, Aïda Bruyère turns various everyday habits into installations and performances that reflect her feminist commitment. Through publications, installations, printed images, performances, sound and video, she seeks to explore the challenges of representing individual and collective identities in the public space.
